This is a folk Song. This type of song is specially called Salaijo. In ancient Nepal only Magar cast used to sing this type of song. But Nowadays any people from any cast sing this type of song. In this song, the singer/ writer is telling about Sali (Wife's Sister). He is describing Sali in his own way.

Genetically and physically, Magar people are Mongoloid/east Asian. They are believed to have migrated from Tibet via Sikkim like other prominent ethnic groups.Linguistically, the Magars are divided into three groups.
Magarkura-speakers: Rana, Ale, Thapa, Singjali, Rakhal, Gaha, Darlami, Masarangi, Khadka, Gharti, Naamjyali, Bucha, Saru, Khamcha, Pulami, Rajali
Khamkura/Magar Pang-speakers: Budha (Buda), Gharti, Roka, Jhankri, Budhathoki,
Kaike-speakers: Tarali Magar of Dolpa/Budha, Gharti, Rokaya, Kayat, Jhankri
