A presentation of Sangam Vision, Nepali hot movie ‘Star’ is a presentation of Mahendra Budhathoki. Niraj Bhandari is a new presentation in the movie. Sanskar Budhathoki is the child artist. Guest artists in the movie are Saurab Karki, Sital KC, Shobhit Basnet, Sanu Tamrakar, Krishna Chapagain, and Laxman Subedi. The mvoie features the choreography of Kabiraj Gahatraj/Shiva BK/Suraj Chand. The executive producer of the movie is journalist Laxman Subedi. The script and story of the movie is written by the director Mahendra Budhathoki. After being featured in hot scenes in movies and going through controversies, actress Sumina Ghimire has quit the Nepali movie industry after getting married in March of 2015.
The movie created controversy over over-exposure. The poster was also censored for excessive skin show. The producers decided to highlight that the poster were censored by having a mark on them.
