Pani Puri Scandal in India

Pani Puri is liked by many people whoever have tasted. It is also known as Gol gappa in many parts of India. It consists of a round, hollow puri, fried crisp and filled with a mixture of flavored water ("pani"), tamarind chutney, chili, chaat masala, potato, onion and chickpeas. The English meaning of golgappa is "watery bread" or "crisp sphere eaten."

The literal meaning suggests that it may have originated from Varanasi. The video is related to the Pani Puri and its scandal. The scandal is created when a pani puri vendor has done something that will never let someone to eat Pani Puri. Most of the sellers stand by the street to sell the Pani Puri. But people forget to learn how far these Pani Puri are hygienic. Thane based pani puri wala used to piss in the same vessel in which the people used to drink water. Thus the video has shown how the man uses the same vessel in which customers used to drink water. The footage has shown how the man has done such disgusting act that was made public. In this case, the customers whoever have to eat Pani Puri and street foods have to be aware and alert on such issue. Thus the video has revealed how the man uses the vessel to piss. It is too much disgusting to see and totally unhealthy. So people whoever want to eat, they have to be alert.

However one can easily make Pani puri at homes too. To do so, one has to follow simple steps. But most of the people due to their busy schedules, consumes street foods that are easily available. They are unhealthy as well as prone to cause several types of diseases. Despite knowledge of the risk factors, actual harm to consumers’ health is yet to be fully proven and understood. Due to difficulties in tracking cases and the lack of disease-reporting systems, follow-up studies proving actual connections between street food consumption and food-borne diseases are still very few. Little attention has been devoted to consumers and their eating habits, behaviors, and awareness.
