The movie ‘Rampyari’ features Rekha in the role of a three-wheeler driver and is based on a real person. The movie directed by Shabir Shrestha features Sabin Shrestha opposite to Rekha Thapa and also introduces Rekha’s nephew Aavash Adhikari opposite to actress Ashma DC.
Initially scheduled to release on Dashain, the shooting of ‘Rampyari’ was delayed by the earthquake of April 24. After earthquake Rekha went to the USA for some secret mission. Rekha had composed and directed the first song “Arko Juni …” from the USA. Rekha had returned back to Nepal in July to resume the production of the movie.
