The History of Cinema in Nepal goes back to 2008 (Bikram Era) when the primary ever constructed Nepali Feature Film titled "Satya Harishchandra" was delivered from Kolkata, India.
"Aama" (mother) was obviously the principal Nepali Film created in Nepal in 2021 B.E. It was created by the Information Department of Government of Nepal. Shiva Shankar Manandhar (famous radio vocalist and music author) and Bhuvan Thapa (Theater Artist) made their presentation as the lead players in the motion picture. The film had Hira Singh Khatri as its executive and V. Balsara was the music writer.
The end of 2023 B.E. saw another Nepali Film "Maitighar"(Maternal home) delivered interestingly under the private standard - Sumonanjali Films Pvt. Ltd. This was a first full vowed highlight film in Nepal; Famous Indian Film Artist Mala Singh assumed an essential part in the film. The achievement of these movies opened up street for the private gatherings to go into filmmaking as mechanical try.
